String index out of range: -1

I get the message "String index out of range: -1" when I try to update a document or try to move a document from one folder to another. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Installation has gone fairly well aside from that. I'd also like more info on purchasing but I never received contact from anyone.

Hi,
what versione of LD you're using?
Please specify if you're working with the community edition or with a Trial and the exact version.
You're using the webservice, or you're working on the web GUI of LogicalDOC?

The problem you're experiencing might be related to write permission on folders or to an incorrect configuration.

If you wish you can contact our sales team by filling our the form in our webiste http://www.logicaldoc.com/buy.html

Try to post the main log of the system that is a file named dms.log
you should be able to find it inside folder /repository/logs of you installation

and maybe a snapshot of your database

It won't allow me to attach a log or txt file and it is too large to paste.

My database exceeds the amount that I can attach.

You should compress it in a compressed .zip archive,
otherwise you can upload it on our bug tracker http://bugs.logicaldoc.com
or you can register to our helpdesk system http://logicaldoc.freshdesk.com and post a ticket

I'm sorry eclipse,
I checked the file you have loaded but I have not seen exceptions nor errors in it.

Which database engine you are using? (embedded DB or MySQL?)
What version of Java are you using?

You can also check the log files of Tomcat
in folder \tomcat\logs\

to see if there are errors or exceptions in correspondence of the action you are performing (file Move)

I am using MySQL on MS Server 2012.
Java 7 Update 79

I didn't find that error in the Tomcat logs.
