Hello,
i have a hard time setting up permissions.
I have created several folder under the default container.
Each folder has it's own permissions for different users.
When i log in as user i cannot see anything in the left column.
So i set up read permission on the default folder for each group.
My problem is that the read permission is automatically inherited by all sub folders even if i click 'apply rights' and not the 'apply to sub-folders' button, so all users can see all the folders (just see).
But i want them to see only the folders that they should access.
I can remove the read permission by hand on each sub folder.
But as i will create new group very often, each of these group should only see some of the sub folders.
How can i avoid this automatic inheritance of permission?
Thanks,

Re: Permissions on default container problem
In the recent versions when you create a new folder you have a checkbox allowing you to choose if you want to inherit from parent or not.

Thanks i asked here and the student told me he checked the box for each first level folder.
Is there any way to break this rule after the creation of a folder?

thre checkboc only applies when you create a new folder and doesn't matter what you done in the top level folder
