Migrating file storage repositories

LogicalDOC has many interesting features, but requires some configuration process to show its full potential.

Migrating file storage repositories

Fri Aug 22, 2014 4:16 pm

Is there any way to migrate the location of the file storage repository?
I currently have files stored in two locations ("Storage 1" and "Storage 2").
I am writing new files to Storage 2. However, I have a large number of files that are still stored in Storage 1. Is there a way to migrate the old files (from Storage 1) to Storage 2 so that everything can be stored in a single location?
Thanks,
Dan

You can simply mode the content of repository1 to repository2. No need to stop/start LogicalDOC.

Thanks for the fast reply!
Do you mean that we can directly copy the files using the computer OS, from one folder to the other?
Does LogicalDocs scan both locations automatically? I thought that the file locations were stored in the database.

you can move the content of the repository1 at filesystem level, ourside LogicalDOC. Yes LogicalDOC will inspect both locations.
