How to remove some of the modules from logicaldoc?

We tried to make LogicalDOC as intuitive as possible, but an advice is always welcome.

How to remove some of the modules from logicaldoc?

Thu Feb 17, 2011 7:49 am

Hi again,

I've a query regarding the logicaldoc internel modules,

what i mean by internal modules is core, i18n, webdav, etc.,

I think I don't need all of the modules now.. so is there a way to remove these modules? suppose I don't need i18n feature now, so If I remove that module then my logicaldoc will work fine?

Or to remove any module what is the procedure? Is there any way to do so?

thanks in advance,

Hi,
you can safely remove some auxiliary modules from logicaldoc, like for example WebDAV, Web-services, LDAP, Workflow and so on,
but you can't remove the core module (since this is the core of the application) and presumably you don't want to remove the GUI module.
The i18n module on the other hand is required by the GUI
There is no automatic procedure to do this, you must manually remove the plugin from the application (remove the jars from the lib) and remove its references from the deployment descriptor web.xml.
This procedure is quite simple for webdav modules and web-services in practice as these only add some servlets, while for other modules the procedure is more complicated and must be deeply evaluated.
