Date Attributes Arithmetic as a nightmare

Mon Nov 11, 2019 11:42 am

Has anybody tried getting the difference between 2 dates in LogicalDoc automation.

Precisely I want to get the difference in number of years between 2 dates attributes of a document (DATEAWHILEAGO and DATEASATNOW) and use it to make decision and or store it as a different integer attribute (YEARSAPART) of same document.

It's been a nightare.
I tried using the java method period, but it seems as if the data type long or Integer returned is not accepted in the LogicalDoc automation engine.

Can somebody assist or suggest an alternative way to get around this for me.

Thank you in advance.
