You can get this distribution in tomcat-bundle archive from the product site: http://www.logicaldoc.com

LogicalDOC is a Web-based Document Management System (DMS) based on open source technology (GWT +Spring +Hibernate +Lucene).
Thanks to its intuitive interface, LogicalDOC transforms complex operations into easy tasks.
It allows the storage, organization, versioning and use of all kind of files and documents within an user friendly interface.

In this release, the main libraries: Spring, Hibernate, Google Web Toolkit (GWT) and Lucene, which are the backbone of the target platform has been updated.

As for the new features, we introduced the concept of Workspaces, this in order to define units of organization of the repository more smaller and specific,
on which to apply security policies.
Another important new feature is the ability to define Retention Policies of the documents and publishing rules.
In this case it will be possible for an administrator user or a publisher to define whether the documents are published and their period of publication.

This new version has been tested using benchmark tools for loading of folders and documents; the results of these benchmarks were used to introduce changes to improve performance of data loading.
Thanks to the changes made the loading performance of documents and folders have been improved by 35%.
