Cleaning trash

Sat Jan 11, 2014 4:33 pm

hi,

i'm a newbie in using logicaldoc community edition. i want to use it for my personal documents.
i have tested it for a while and i am I am basically satisfied with the function. the only
function i am missing is to get rid of the deleted documents. is there a plan to integrate
this function into the community edition or something like that?

thanks in advance.

Hi, the database optimization, that includes the phisical deletion of resources, is available in the commercial editions only.

hi,

thanks for your fast answer.

is there any possibilty to add the database cleaner task manually to the community edition?

i don't understand why the function of deleting documents isn't available in the community edition.
for my understanding, deleting of a document is so essential as adding a document :-)

do you think this function will be integerated in one of the next releases of the community edition?

Hi, the database cleaning utility is something you really need if your repository becomes big. In this scenario LogicalDOC is handling a lot of your documents and it is safer to switch to one of the commercial editions where you will have not only the cleaning feature but also professional support.
