This is not a LogicalDOC issue, so this is not the proper place to post help request about Tomcat configuration.

Well, go to <TOMCAT_HOME>/conf and open the file server.xml
Here replare all '8080' occurrencies with the port you want.

The installer of the Commercial edition of LogicalDOC 5.2 (LogicalDOC Enterprise) properly creates a service Logicaldoc, if you install using the service.bat batch script without passing a 2nd parameter named LogicalDOC the service will be installed with name "Tomcat". On this point the installation guide contains an Error.

thanks agaspa! ok let me tell you how i installed logicaldoc 5.2.1. First of all i copy the zipped folder in c drive where i extracted it, after that i click on "start" option available in the bin directory. Then i open command prompt and go to directory "tomcat/bin" there i type "service install". Now as per the document says that after this new service named logicaldoc will be available in services. Here is the point i want to say the "Apache tomcat6' name is available in services. i have studied your post but i am very new to this and dont understand in which file the changes you mentioned should be made so can you help me in detail in easy words please? thx

In order to install tomcat as a service you simple tipe service install. In that way a service named "Tomcat" will be installed.
If you want to remove that service you must launch the same command service.bat passing as argument remove: e. g. service remove
If you want tomcat installed as a service with a different name simply pass a 2nd second parameter to the batch in this form: service install Logicaldoc

You should increase the memory assigned to LogicalDOC,
for a server installation it should be at least 900-1100 MB assigned to the JVM
Java Options
JVM Tuning
