java -jar logicaldoc-installer.jar

Tue Jan 23, 2018 6:49 pm

I tried to install LogicalDoc on Ubuntu 17.10 following the steps reported at https://docs.logicaldoc.com/it/installa ... -on-ubuntu.

When I type the command sudo java -jar logicaldoc-installer.jar, the mask for the selection of the language doesn't appear and the installation stop.

These lines report my java version:

Code: Select all

java version "1.8.0_161"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_161-b12)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.161-b12, mixed mode)

These are the line on the terminal:

Hi Valerio,
I think your problem is due to the fact that you have an Ubuntu installation without a GUI, or you are accessing the system remotely with a text shell.
If this is the case you can try to launch the console installation, adding the parameter -console

Code: Select all

java -jar logicaldoc-installer.jar -console

I use Ubuntu Server with Ubuntu Desktop as GUI.

What does "you are accessing the system remotely with a text shell" means? I tried to install LogicalDoc on a virtual machine (VMWare).,, is this the problem?

I'm going to try with the parameter -console... and then I'll update this topic.

Thank you

I used the parameter -console and the installation worked fine. But I have another problem...

Because of Tomcat is already installed, I set different ports when required for LogicalDOC. If I connect to http://localhost:8081 the message ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED is displayed.

Help me please...
