LogicalDOC has many interesting features, but requires some configuration process to show its full potential.

Try to add a new PDF document and request the preview.

Hi lmilesuk,
LogicalDOC Community can't allow you to preview Open Office documents, MS Office Documents, .txt documents and image documents,
because it lacks of the PDF Conversion package.
Without such package the system is not able to convert a document to pdf and then it is not able to pre-render the preview.
The community edition however can produce the preview of PDF documents as well HTML documents (files with extension .htm and .html)
