I had installed LogicalDoc and changed the server.url setting to be something other than localhost. I have verified that this is in fact correctly reflected in the context.properties file. Yet, when the reset password email is sent out, the link always starts with http://localhost:8080... Does anybody have any suggestions on what might be the issue?
Thanks!

Re: Reset Password Email Issue
Is that new URL correctly stored in the conf/context.properties file? Have you restarted LogicalDOC?

Yes, the new URL is stored correctly in the conf/context.properties file. I have restarted LogicalDOC (restarted the LogicalDoc service in the services manager). I'm really stumped by this one. Thanks for the response - any other suggestions?

Got it. The URL in the message reflects the URL you used to reached LogicalDOC from the client. Please try to reset the password from a different machine.

car031 - Thanks for the response, but you lost me at "reset the password from a different machine." Could you please elaborate?
Thanks!

Re: Reset Password Email Issue
Well, it is quite clear. Open a browser in a PC then point it to your LogicalDOC that is hosted in your server, it should be something like http://you_server_ip:8080
Then click the forgot link in the login page, you should recevie a reset link that starts with http://you_server_ip

Re: Reset Password Email Issue
Now I understand what you mean. Yes, I have been doing that. Also, I now see where the URL comes from - basically it uses the reference URL that was used to reach the page rather than the URL stated in the context.properties file. This is disappointing because I have setup my system so that my users do not need to enter the port. I did this through a combination of URL rewrite in IIS and some modifications in my host file. Looks like I'll be giving up on this one for now. Thanks for the help!
