Configuration of LogicalDOC on Ubuntu 14.04

Tue Oct 20, 2015 8:26 am

Hi!
I have just installed LogicalDOC CE 7.3 on an Ubuntu 14.04 server and got everything up and running :D . I then accessed the administration area to configure my swftools and my libreoffice installations. It seems like LogicalDOC CE has absolutly no interest in using these tools  allhough everything Works fine with .pdf files. :D

I get no thumbnails what ever I do to get it to Work :x - has anybody any idea how to setup the path for swftools and libreoffice in Ubuntu 14.04 server?

all 3.rd party programs is installed to default standards.

the server has no GUI (it is a server), but it seems odd that the system cannot show thumbnails when it comes to other types of files than .pdf

I am aware that the preview section will not Work in this edition of LogicalDOC but thumbnails should??? I suppose!

Hi, thiumbnails and previews of files other than pdf are not available in the Community, to have them you should go with LogicalDOC Business or LogicalDOC Enterprise

Thank you for clarifying that - I miss that this is written in installation manual so you do not waste time to figure out that this will not Work. :geek:

The installation manual is for the commercial editions of LogicalDOC, there is no manual for the Community...

In LogicalDOC CE you should be able to see thumbnails and preview for PDF documents and images,
but for the thumbnails you should have installed ghostscript (command gs) and imagemagick (command convert)
