Full text search of Word (.docx) files

We tried to make LogicalDOC as intuitive as possible, but an advice is always welcome.

Full text search of Word (.docx) files

Sun Feb 10, 2019 2:37 pm

Please excuse my ignorance but I am a complete newbie to this.
I have setup the app using MySQL, setup 2 folders under Administrator and uploaded several files into each folder. I then went to scheduled tasks and executed the Documents indexing option.
I left the app for several minutes but cannot find documents with a certain string in them. I have ensured that I selected the content option for search in.

Second question , how to I look for a string containing multiple words?

Hi Bowlsys,

LogicalDOC community is not able to index .docx files, it has limited indexing capabilities.
It is able to index only .doc .xls .ppt, pdf, txt and html

When a document is indexed to its left, the symbol of a small stylized silo appears (like a database)
By clicking on that icon you can download the text that has been indexed (extracted from the file)

You can full-text search using the asterisk char '*' or using the quote char '"' for exact match.
Or you can query by multiple words
