Repository - unpack to re-import?

We tried to make LogicalDOC as intuitive as possible, but an advice is always welcome.

Repository - unpack to re-import?

Thu Mar 21, 2019 9:37 pm

I have lost our LogicalDoc sql database. But, the Repository is still intact. Is there a way to rebuild the sql database by reimporting an existing repository? Or, is there a way to unpack the repository to reimport into a new LogicalDoc install?

In addition, our LogicalDoc is installed on a QNAP server. I followed the LogicalDoc database install instructions. I assume the logicaldoc sql database is installed in the /.@qmariadb/data folder? If it is not, is there a different location?

Hi karrfaltj,

all the metadata are in the database, so basically it is not possible to restore the system from the document repository only.
That folder only collects digital contents, therefore the files.
However, all information such as the file names and the organization / structure of the archive is recorded in the database.
It would be possible to recover the names of the files and then restore the documents to their original state by working on the full-text search index
However this is not a feature of the software a special tool should be created
