Wipe a document

We tried to make LogicalDOC as intuitive as possible, but an advice is always welcome.

Wipe a document

Hi,

According to GDPR there should be software in company for secure deletion of files where personal data are stored. If we use LogicalDoc to store such documents then there is a need to securely wipe docs from storage.
Is there such feature in LogicalDoc?

The feature you are looking for is available in commercial versions of LogicalDOC.
It is necessary before the document is deleted (manually or via web-service).
Subsequently, a scheduled database cleanup operation removes the records from the system and the digital content from the storage locations

We are planning to procure so that is why I am asking. So, just to confirm - it is wiping - i.e. intentional writing zeros (or some other secure method) over file(s) position on storage medium?

It doesn't write zeros on the document.
When a document is deleted, after the 2 processes complete: Database clean and Filesystem clean,
the document will be physically erased from the system and it will be no more recoverable (unless you have a backup)
