Open Source Document Management

hello,

does the 'add documents' create some metadata in db or does it upload a copy of each documents ?
cos I want to administer zillions of pdf, I dont want a double of all these docs on my hd
I am limited by space

also I want to import a whole folder, how do I do this ?

Anytime you put a document in LogicalDOC the file's binary is stored in the system.
If you need to massively import folders you will have to go with one of the commercial editions.
