What is the exact version of LogicalDOC you are testing?
This is a really simple activity, if you need a video I can provide you one.
Could try to reproduce the issue in the online demo of LogicalDOC?
Also if you want you can submit the problem using the issue tracker http://issues.logicaldoc.com
Please add the main log of the software (in compressed format) that you can find in folder <LD_Working_directory>\logs\dms.log
