Database Migration - Docker Image

Hi!

when I use the docker image "logicaldoc/logicaldoc-ce", and I update the LogicalDOC docker image.
Are there any manual steps in case the database structure has to be changed for the newer version ?
Or is the database structure migrated automatically on LogicalDoc startup?

Currently there is no upgrade path to modify the database schema used by the application.
At least for the LogicalDOC Community edition.
Which version are you using?

I just tried upgrading my docker-installation from logicaldoc-ce:7.7.6 to logicaldoc-ce:8.0.0

In the Plugins-Tab in the Administration-Section I get now 8.0.0 for all listed items and everything seems to work okay. But when I connect and in the sidebar of the installation there is still mentioned 7.7.6. In the database the ld-update table also mentions my upgrade with version 7.7.6:

ld_update ld_date ld_version
installer 2018-11-14 15:58:45 7.7.6

I dont think this was a successful update, so I rolled back my installation. How is the logicaldoc-ce docker version to be upgraded?

Hi Esentian,
unfortunately, the thing is quite compex,
you need to update the context.properties file by adding the new properties,
you have to update the web-application (completely) and you have to update the database with the changes introduced in version 8.0.0
An update package for the community version has not been released so you should wait until it is released
